Confidential and professional counselling is given and can be either room-based, online, out in nature walking and talking, or experientially with the therapy herd.
Why Counselling or Psychotherapy? ‘Aren’t they the same?’, is a question often asked. They overlap to some degree but counselling is briefer due to being focused on behavioural changes. Psychotherapy on the other hand is more long term, exploring emotional issues and the reasons behind them; this can include trauma.
A 20 minute consult is offered, typically over the phone, free of charge. This gives you a chance to explore your needs and to find out if we are a good fit for you or your family. Finding a therapist that is a good fit is a very personal decision; likewise we need to see if we are a good fit for you and have a clear picture of what your goal is so that this can be monitored to see if what we are doing is working and moving along towards that goal.
